LM35 temperature sensor IC notes#

The LM35 requires a configuration such as the one shown here to enable the measurement of below-freezing temps. When the temperature is below freezing, the reading at A1 will be more negative then that of A0. In this single-supply configuration, Texas Instruments' specs indicate it can read from -55 to +150 degrees C. One downside is the necessity of using 2 analog voltage inputs to derive one temperature reading. However this configuration is unnecessary for locations where below-freezing temps will never occur.
